  • Big Creek Lakes Campground: Dogs are allowed at Big Creek Lakes Campground, but they must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your vehicle.

  • Fishhook Lake, Lost Lake, and Lake Elmo Trail: Fishhook Lake, Lost Lake, and Lake Elmo Trail is a six-mile hike in Routt National Forest that will take about four hours to complete with Fido. Three miles from the trailhead, you will find Lake Elmo, which is one of three lakes on the trail. The three-mile section of this hike that follows the very old trail runs in the valley on the west side of the Continental Divide.

  • Storm Peak Brewing Co.: Storm Peak offers rotating taps of refreshing craft brews and welcomes dogs with treats and water bowls. Bring your own food or order delivery from nearby restaurants.

  • Back Door Grill: You can bring Fido to the Back Door Grill. Outside, you'll find plenty of dog-friendly tables. Starting out in an alley out of a pickup window, the restaurant has grown into a popular local eatery that specializes in homemade burgers and fries.

  • Cugino's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant: No restaurants in Steamboat allow dogs in food service areas, but Cugino's will let you tie your dog up by the patio. They even brought a meatball treat for our dogs. Friendly staff, good food, and great happy hour.
